Accesibility

The pages of this site are declared as XHTML 1.0 documents in transitional mode. This means that they are built in compliance with the standards set by the World Wide Web Consortium recommendations for this language, with a clear and semanticized structure not interfered by the visual characteristics of the site (fonts, font and background colors, etc.).

Documents are thus developed to provide a complete separation between content, presentation and behavior, by applying an encoding in XHTML, a presentation based on CSS style sheets and a layer of unobtrusive JavaScript programming. This ensures access from all types of browsers and screen readers.

In order to achieve the above, the pages include alternative texts for images, information on the hyperlinks when they open a new window, the specification of font sizes in the style sheet in relative units to allow for expansion and the indication of the language when the texts or text fragments change, and the markup of acronyms and abbreviations with a description of their meaning where appropriate.

The contents of this site are accessible to the average current legislation (which meets the priorities 1 and 2 of the Spanish Standard UNE 139803:2004).

Documents in PDF format

The website of the Diplomas in Spanish contains numerous documents in PDF format which present facsimile scans of works originally published in paper. Although we are updating the format of these files to achieve their full accessibility, it is possible to find documents not meeting the legal requirements, especially in cases where no technologically and economically reasonable alternative to the published format can be implemented.
